What an amazing and surreal opportunity to perform with the USA contingent from Montana (Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre) at the First festival to honor Russian folk music icon, Alfia Avzalova!! I sang IN the TARTAR Language!! Or at least - really tried!

SILENT SKY at I.C.T. - Aug/Sept 2017
This beautiful and unusual play by Lauren Gunderson, explores the lives of ground-breaking women scientists who join the emerging corp of women working in the "computing" room of Harvard Observatory in 1905. I was honored to learn about these women and portray a piece of their story. Grateful for wonderful colleagues again at ICT.

Los Angeles Philharmonic NIXON IN CHINA!
In celebration of composer John Adams' 70th Birthday, the very vibrant and gracious maestro conducted his opera NIXON IN CHINA with the LA Philharmonic in March 2017!
Walt Disney Concert Hall was transformed with a set dominated by a giant television showing actual Nixon-era footage integrated with world class singers, direction by Elkhana Pulitzer and Choreography by Me. It was thrilling to stage a 20 minute ballet - a propaganda classic of the period inspired by the National Ballet of China's RED DETACHMENT OF WOMEN ballet.
